Our current Wednesday night Bible study is a verse-by-verse examination of the book of Galatians.
The Author is Paul.
The Occasion, to defend his apostleship and to combat Judaism and to emphasize the Gospel.
The Theme, justification by faith alone. "The righteous will live by faith." (Galatians 3;11)
In chapters 1-2, Paul defends his apostleship. This is a personal section.
In chapters 3-4, we find his teaching pertains to the Gospel and they are polemical.
Chapters 5-6 pertain to the Galatians and is the practical section.
The group meets on Wednesday nights at 6:45 pm in the fellowship hall.
