Music...

 

Sing to the Lord a new song...Shout for joy to the Lord...burst into jubilant song with music; make music with the harp, the trumpet, the ram's horn, and singing.   (Psalm 98: 1, 4)

 

Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 5:19)

 

First Baptist Church has a rich heritage in music. But even so, now our focus is not just singing and playing the music, but realizing the opportunity of the song in our hearts and how important it is to exalt the Lord with that song! Whether it be with the great old standard hymns or the cutting edge praise and worship music, we are always seeking new ways to worship Him.

 

 

Our desire is to honor and glorify the Father through our praise and worship! We do so with the instruments and with our singing, having choirs for all ages.  Our leaders are very gifted and caring about what they do, who they work with, and who it is they sing for!  If you have that same desire to use your gift of song, whether it be with an instrument or with your voice, we encourage and invite you to join us in solos, ensembles, and special groups.  We have a least one group you can feel at home with.
